Martin Bachmann began his professional career at Columbia TriStar Film GmbH after studying Law. He was Marketing Director from 1993 until 1999, after which he moved to the studio´s headquarters in Culver City, where he was Senior Vice President of International Marketing at Columbia TriStar Film Distributors International until June 2003. He then returned to Germany and since then he has been Managing Director of both Sony Pictures Entertainment Deutschland, Austria and Switzerland and Deutsche Columbia Production. During his career he has been responsible for the studio’s most successful films, such as the SPIDER-MAN Franchise, the JUMANJI Franchise, the Bond movies from CASINO ROYALE to SPECTRE, DJANGO UNCHAINED, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, MEN IN BLACK as well as the German productions ANATOMY (Anatomie), FRIEDNSHIP, WHO AM I and THE VAMPIRE SISTERS (Die Vampirschwestern), as well as HELP, I SHRUNK MY TEACHER (Hilfe, ich habe meine Lehrerin geschrumpft) and 25 KM/H.
The Constantin Film AG Supervisory Board has appointed Martin Bachmann to the company’s Executive Board effective as of July 1, 2023.
