Constantin Film Backs Continuity: Martin Moszkowicz and Oliver Berben Renew their Contracts

Martin Moszkowicz Reaffirmed as CEO; Oliver Berben Appointed Deputy CEO.

Constantin Film has decided to back continuity, renewing the contracts of the long-serving CEO Martin Moszkowicz and Management Board member Oliver Berben early and for an extended period.

The Supervisory Board extended Martin Moszkowicz’s contract as CEO in a decision passed on 11 July 2020, to take effect on 1 January 2021. Additionally, the Supervisory Board has appointed Oliver Berben Deputy CEO and also renewed his contract.

Martin Moszkowicz has been CEO of Constantin Film AG since 1 January 2014 and in addition to company management and strategy he is also in charge of worldwide production and distribution, world sales, marketing and publicity and corporate communication and legal affairs among others.

Oliver Berben has been a member of the Board since 1 January 2017 and as Deputy CEO will continue to run “TV, Entertainment and Digital Media” and supervise the development and manufacture of all national and international productions of this division. Oliver Berben will continue his activities as a producer.

Until now, the English-language production business has been separated into cinema and TV. In the future both segments will be run by both Management Board members together.

Martin Moszkowicz is the Chairman of the Executive Board at Constantin Film AG. In this capacity, Mr. Moszkowicz is responsible for the company’s film business, including worldwide production and distribution, world sales, marketing and publicity as well as corporate communication and legal affairs among others. He has been part of the Constantin Film management since 1990 – first as Producer and Managing Director, then as a member of the Managing Board. On 6 March 2019, Martin Moszkowicz was awarded an honorary professorship at HFF Munich (University of Television and Film Munich). Commencing with the winter semester 2019/2020 he also chairs the degree program “Production & Media Economics” at HFF Munich.

As a producer, executive producer and co-producer, Martin Moszkowicz has been responsible for numerous national and international hit films and television productions and has been involved in more than 300 productions.

His most recent projects include “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2017)”, “Suck Me Shakespeer” (2017), “This Crazy Heart” (2017), “How About Adolf?” (2018), “Polar” (2019), “The Collini case” (2019), “The Silence” (2019), “Das perfekte Geheimnis” (2019), “Dragon Rider” (2020) und “Monster Hunter” (2020).

Oliver Berben is in charge of the TV, Entertainment and Digital Media division, which concentrates the development and manufacture of all national and international productions of the company that are not intended for cinema exploitation. In 1996 Oliver Berben founded MOOVIE GmbH, which has been a subsidiary of Constantin Film AG since 1999. In January 2009, Oliver Berben also assumed the position of Managing Director of Constantin Film Produktion GmbH.

Oliver Berben has already produced more than 180 films for television and cinema and series. His most recent projects include SHADES OF GUILT I + II + III (2015, 2017, 2019), THE TYPIST (2018), PERFUME (2018), THE MASTER BUTCHER (2019), WE CHILDREN FROM BAHNHOF ZOO (2020) and the international hit TV series SHADOWHUNTERS.
