Constantin Film AG Appoints Martin Bachmann to the Executive Board

Munich, January 30, 2023 – The Constantin Film AG Supervisory Board has appointed Martin Bachmann to the company’s Executive Board effective as of July 1, 2023.

Martin Bachmann has been active in various positions for the US major studio Sony for more than three decades and has been Managing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as Managing Director of Deutsche Columbia Pictures since 2003.

Martin Moszkowicz, Chairman of Constantin Film AG’s Executive Board: “I’m delighted that the Executive Board team of Constantin Film is going to be further strengthened by the addition of Martin Bachmann, a high-profile, experienced manager. Among other things, this will emphasize Constantin Film’s dedication to the worldwide theatrical film business.”

Martin Bachmann began his professional career at Columbia TriStar Film GmbH after studying Law. He was Marketing Director from 1993 until 1999, after which he moved to the studio´s headquarters in Culver City, where he was Senior Vice President of International Marketing at Columbia TriStar Film Distributors International until June 2003. He then returned to Germany and since then he has been Managing Director of both Sony Pictures Entertainment Deutschland, Austria and Switzerland and Deutsche Columbia Production. During his career he has been responsible for the studio’s most successful films, such as the SPIDER-MAN Franchise, the JUMANJI Franchise, the Bond movies from CASINO ROYALE to SPECTRE, DJANGO UNCHAINED, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD, MEN IN BLACK as well as  the German productions ANATOMY (Anatomie), FRIEDNSHIP, WHO AM I and THE VAMPIRE SISTERS (Die Vampirschwestern), as well as HELP, I SHRUNK MY TEACHER (Hilfe, ich habe meine Lehrerin geschrumpft) and 25 KM/H.
